Acute Pain
Seeing a physiotherapist as soon as you experience pain can not only speed up recovery but can also prevent the problem from happening again. Physio at Yours will carry out a thorough assessment to discover the reason for your pain and then offer a range of treatments that have been proven to be effective at treating your pain.
Chronic Pain
Chronic pain is pain that lasts for more than three months or after healing should have been completed. Chronic pain can have an impact on your physical and psychological health which can impact on your social wellbeing and may lead to disability, loss of independence and a poor quality of life.
We can support and guide people with long term pain towards regaining their independence. Your Physiotherapist will carry out a detailed, holistic assessment to identify if there are any reasons for lack of progress in rehabilitation and can use a combination of treatment techniques to move forward and work on improving your quality of life.
Some treatment techniques that can be effective include:
- Manual therapy
- Acupuncture
- Exercise
- Advise on fatigue management and pacing
The therapist from Physio at Yours used a great combination of stretches, acupuncture and massage to alleviate my pain and once that was better gave me lots of strengthening exercises and worked me hard to get me back to normal again
